The Bruins made a low-risk move with the hopes of fortifying their depth Saturday, signing veteran forward Tyler Johnson to a professional tryout agreement.
Johnson hopes to prolong his successful run in the league and prove he has more firepower as his career winds down.
The Bruins will take a look at Johnson at training camp to see whether he fits the roster and decide whether he's earned a spot.
Johnson, 34, has played in 738 career games over 12 seasons in the National Hockey League.
