The Bruins will tell you that it is a priority to get this guy signed. I think both sides are looking at a long-term commitment, and positive vibes are coming out of Boston, but it's not done yet.
Swayman and Boston both agreed not to go through arbitration after some admittedly awkward discussions last year, which signaled the sides aren't too far off on a new contract.
It doesn't seem like a matter of if, but when terms are eventually agreed upon. Swayman and the Bruins just need to find a compromise, perhaps before training camp kicks off Wednesday?
