Fraser Minten, who initially harbored some negative feelings toward the Boston Bruins due to their 2011 Stanley Cup win over his hometown Canucks, is poised to make his debut with the team. Acquired in a trade for Brandon Carlo, Minten is anticipated to fulfill a reliable role on the ice, particularly in penalty-kill situations. At only 20 years old and with prior NHL experience, Minten hopes to leverage his skills showcased in the AHL to succeed with Boston in their matchup against the Hurricanes.
"The reports that we got from Providence were that he's been a very reliable player, smart, heady player, probably in more of a penalty-kill role," Joe Sacco said.
"Just play hard, play like I've been playing down in Providence," Minten said. "Be a reliable, hard-working guy. Everyone in here still wants to win."
