The Boston Bruins made a roster move on its travel day, recalling forward Patrick Brown on an emergency basis, less than 24 hours after defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7.
It's unclear what exactly prompted general manager Don Sweeney to recall Brown, with Danton Heinen being the only known forward dealing with an injury situation.
Sweeney expects Heinen to return to the lineup 'at some point' in the series against the Panthers.
The Bruins will face the reigning Eastern Conference champions, the Florida Panthers, in Game 1 of their best-of-seven set, with puck drop scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
