Elias Lindholm suffered a lower-body injury after colliding with Jordan Greenway and will undergo an MRI, with head coach Marco Sturm confirming he will be out for at least a few weeks. Lindholm required assistance from teammates to leave the ice and had been off to a strong start this season with four goals and nine points in 12 games, averaging 18:22 of ice time and a 57.1% faceoff win rate. All four goals came on the power play, and his absence will affect Boston's 13th-ranked power play. Marat Khusnutdinov will step in as the top-line center between David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie and recently scored the overtime winner against Buffalo.
