Bruins defenseman Derek Forbort will report to Providence on an LTI conditioning loan to assess his fitness for a playoff comeback.
Forbort, dealing with 'significant injuries,' returned to practice with optimism from coach Jim Montgomery for his future game availability.
The LTIR stint was due to Forbort's injuries after the NHL trade deadline, during which he had 4 assists and 65 blocked shots in 35 games.
