"We talk almost every day about how it's going and you're kind of in the same sort of spot, you know, that I was last year for him,"
"So, easy to relate to each other. There's not a lot of people that understand what that's like, when you're a young guy coming from junior, especially a star, you know, for years now, and it's a huge transition into a different role, different league, everything like that."
"Everybody. It'll be good to see all those guys on the ice."
Fraser Minten was a second-round pick of the Maple Leafs in 2022 and was traded to the Bruins last season in a package for defenceman Brandon Carlo. Aaron Steeves went undrafted, signed out of college, left Toronto as a free agent, and was just recalled by the Bruins to make his debut. Minten will center the Bruins' third line against the Maple Leafs and remains in regular contact with former teammates, especially his former roommate Easton Cowan. Minten and Cowan played together at the 2024 World Juniors and shared development camps and rookie tournaments. Cowan was assigned to the Toronto Marlies earlier in the week. Steeves played a handful of games in four seasons with Toronto, including seven last year that featured his first NHL goal, but did not secure a regular roster spot.
