6 Bruins draftees further boost Boston College's prospects as season gets underway
"All three are back at Chestnut Hill this season, and will have three more members of the organization skating alongside them. Defenseman Kristian Kostadinski, a seventh-round pick in 2023, and forward William Moore, selected in the second round this past June, join the squad as freshmen. And then there's James Hagens, the sophomore forward who unexpectedly fell into the organization's lap with the seventh pick in the early summer."
""I think it's valuable for everyone if they can do it just to see what pro hockey is all about," said Brown. "Get a feel for it. See the intensity needed. See some of the detail that goes into pro hockey, and just to get a taste of it, so that it's not all foreign or all new when they come to college.""
Boston College's roster includes six players drafted by the Boston Bruins. Returning forwards Andre Gasseau, Oskar Jellvik, and Dean Letourneau are back, while freshmen Kristian Kostadinski (seventh-round, 2023) and William Moore (second-round, 2024) join the squad and sophomore James Hagens was selected seventh overall. Except for Jellvik, all participated in Bruins development camp in July. The development camp exposed players to professional-level intensity, detail, and expectations, helping newcomers acclimate to teammates and the step up to college hockey. The presence of multiple players tied to one NHL organization has not created a distraction, and the players remain committed to Boston College.
