The three points for a regulation win were not expected but are very welcome as Boston fights to stay alive.
Emily Brown got her first goal of the season off of an assist from Tapani who later would score the eventual game winner.
The four remaining games are not enough to control their own destiny but they can give them selves a chance and we should know if it is going to happen by this time next week.
If Ottawa drops two or more points win that game and Boston wins in regulation both teams will control their destiny when they meet next Wednesday.
