Video shows driver sideswiping houses, falling from car window in Everett
"I immediately thought it was a bad car accident, so I quickly looked out the window to see the white car right in the middle of our neighbor's lawn,"
"I looked outside almost immediately, but the driver was already out of the vehicle. The front part of the car was detached and there was debris strewn across the street."
"You don't expect that you could be part of a car crash when you are sleeping inside your own home,"
A driver crashed into multiple homes on Glendale Street in Everett around 7:30 a.m. Surveillance footage shows the vehicle hit a speed bump, spun out, jumped a curb, and struck several houses before stopping in a front yard. The driver appeared to fall headfirst from an open window after the car came to rest. Police reported no injuries, said speed was a factor, and cited the driver for operating to endanger. Steps to two homes were deemed structurally unsound and a third home was ruled unsafe. Neighbors described detached car parts, debris, and an indent in a house's trim.
