
"An inmate at the South Bay jail in Boston died after attacking corrections officers on Sunday night and then getting apprehended and restrained, according to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department. Around 8:40 p.m., Shacoby Kenny, 32, began exhibiting "erratic behavior" and physically attacked members of the custody staff, officials said. Then, he allegedly ran around the unit in attempt to escape capture."
"Once additional officers arrived, Kenny was apprehended and restrained, authorities said. Shortly afterward, he became unresponsive. Officers and medical staff administered CPR and other life-saving measures before Kenny was soon transported to a hospital, according to the sheriff's department. Kenny died at the hospital on Monday morning, officials said. Kenny was being held at the Suffolk County jail since February on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery on a person over 65, and assault with a dangerous weapon, authorities said."
