A Piper P-28 aircraft struck two residential homes in Phoenix on Wednesday before crashing nose-down in a backyard. One wing was torn off and landed on the first home's roof. The plane came to rest next to a swimming pool at the second residence. Three people sustained injuries: a student pilot, a flight instructor, and a man inside one of the homes. All three injuries were minor, consisting of cuts and burns, and the victims were transported to a hospital. The aircraft was en route to nearby Deer Valley Airport when the incident occurred. The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an investigation into the crash.
