Roman Anthony is out of the game. Here's the swing where it looks like he tweaked his back. Immediately went down to the clubhouse.Time to start the prayer circle."
Roman Anthony exited Boston's game against the Cleveland Guardians in the top of the fifth after tweaking his side and grabbing his lower back while walking to the dugout. He was immediately replaced by Nate Eaton in right field and was later removed from the game due to left oblique tightness, announced in the top of the seventh. The 21-year-old reached for his lower back and left side after striking out in the fourth. Anthony missed two games in early August with mid-back tightness but avoided the injured list. Entering Tuesday, he was batting .292 with eight home runs and 32 RBI over 71 games after being called up on June 9.
