Prosecutors: Ex Boston woman was supposed to report for her jail sentence, but went to the beach instead
Briefly

A former Boston woman was sentenced to six months in prison Thursday for failing to surrender for a previous sentence, instead enjoying beaches, pools, and parties in the Dominican Republic, acting U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Joshua S. Levy's office announced.
Instead, prosecutors say Sanchez resided in the Dominican Republic for 20 months following her surrender deadline. While living there, she 'posted various daily undertakings on Facebook, including trips to the beach, pool and social functions,' Levy's office said.
Thursday's six-month sentence will run concurrently with Sanchez's 15-month sentence for passport misuse. Levy's office said she will be subject to deportation once she finishes her sentence.
