A group of about a dozen Haitian migrants recently tried to spend the night at Logan Airport, fearing the state's restrictive shelter rules, including a five-day limit at overflow sites.
Enel Louis expressed concern for his family’s predicament, stating, "When you get to a country that you don't know how it is, and end up in a circumstance like this, you get pretty worried... It concerns me a lot seeing [my daughter] sleep in this situation."
Due to the housing crisis and increased immigration, Massachusetts' emergency shelter system has become overwhelmed, leading to the imposition of restrictive shelter rules by the state's administration.
