MBTA says riders can expect increased frequency on several lines this fall
Briefly

The MBTA is implementing service changes to the Red, Orange, Blue, and Mattapan lines, with promises of increased frequency and improved reliability this fall.
Starting September 29, the Red Line will see increased weekday frequency due to faster travel times from improved track conditions, enhancing overall service.
The Orange and Blue lines will also experience frequency increases, while the Mattapan Line will undergo trip shifts to improve schedule reliability for its riders.
In addition to subway changes, adjustments to ferry and commuter rail services will be introduced in October and November, maintaining the same RIDE service.
