Irish Rail adjusts new timetable following complaints of delays and overcrowding
Briefly

A spokesperson for Irish Rail stated that the adjustments coming into effect from September 16 will significantly improve punctuality, addressing commuter frustrations since the new timetable launched.
Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee voiced her concerns about the new timetable, stating that it caused 'upset and frustration for commuters' and actually provided a worse service for north county Dublin.
Irish Rail acknowledged previous punctuality issues and emphasized their commitment to monitoring service performance after the August 26 timeline change, indicating that consultations with the NTA informed the upcoming adjustments.
The changes will adjust service timings by 3 to 7 minutes in response to congestion, aiming to enhance overall service efficiency and commuter experience on the Maynooth and Drogheda lines.
