Green Line delays muddy morning commutes
Briefly

Malfunctions and delays on the Green Line brought service to a halt in the early morning on Tuesday. A track switch issue near Arlington led to service suspension between Government Center and Arlington.
Passengers were informed of the delays due to overnight construction running late, with shuttle buses made available. The issue was addressed by MBTA personnel with repairs and testing conducted.
Regular service was restored once repairs were completed by 8:20 a.m., not linked to the Track Improvement Program. Delayed announcements frustrated passengers as shown by social media responses.
