Carjacking suspect shot and killed in Roxbury, police say
"Officers approached the vehicle on foot. The suspect did not heed multiple commands the officers made. Instead, the suspect accelerated the vehicle in an attempt to flee. They struck a BPD cruiser in doing so, Cox said. Multiple officers fired their weapons, hitting the suspect."

Boston Police responded to a carjacking report on Wednesday night at 1500 Tremont Street. Officers located the stolen vehicle near Linwood Square and approached on foot. The suspect ignored multiple commands and accelerated the vehicle toward officers, striking a police cruiser. Multiple officers discharged their weapons, hitting the suspect. He was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead. The officers involved sustained minor injuries and remain in good condition. The carjacking victim was unharmed. Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox stated the department's goal is never to take life, acknowledging the dangers and difficulties inherent in responding to carjackings. The Boston Police Department and Suffolk District Attorney's office are conducting an ongoing investigation.
