Boston toy drive is desperate for donations

"This year we got a lot of requests, because people are more in need. Times are very difficult, and prices are high," ABCD President and CEO Sharon Scott-Chandler told Boston.com.
"We're a little behind this year. We're looking to get another few thousand toys," Scott-Chandler said. This highlights the organization’s struggle to meet the increasing demand.
"This time of the year, when everyone else is celebrating with gifts, they can't afford toys. It really allows them to participate and celebrate, bring some joy."
