Boston police are alerting residents to a new scam where individuals receive texts claiming they have unpaid parking tickets. These messages, however, are not from any city government sources. Residents are urged to avoid clicking on links in these suspicious texts.
The BPD emphasized that any legitimate parking ticket communications from the city will not ask residents to click links. Instead, they can check the official online records or contact the city directly.
