The BAA will invest over $1 million in the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center, focusing on athletic and wellness programs to benefit the Roxbury community.
BAA CEO Jack Fleming emphasized the partnership's importance, stating, 'There's no better way that we can live out our mission... than by putting on good events and channeling that back into the community.'
RLTAC’s executive director highlighted the urgent need for intervention: 'There’s a 22-year gap in life expectancy for Roxbury residents and neighborhoods just two miles away.'
The funds will enhance youth track, basketball events, senior fitness programming, and wellness resources in Roxbury Community College.
