General Manager [Phil] Eng challenged the team to develop a mobile app for real-time information, aiming to enhance riders' commute and empower better decisions, focusing on innovation and transparency.
The app in the beta stage, named MBTA Go, currently offers real-time bus arrival information, with further features to be added, encompassing all T's public transit modes.
While other third-party apps have provided similar services, the MBTA's focus on communication improvement through this app is a key priority, with ongoing feature additions in the testing phase.
