Colin Barthelemy, a 26-year-old from Lexington, was shot by police after he allegedly approached them with a large kitchen knife. Police were called to a residence on Mason Street following a report of Barthelemy injuring himself with a knife. Upon arrival, he exited the home with the knife and advanced towards the officers. Less lethal force was attempted but proved ineffective. A Wilmington police officer, present for Patriots' Day events, fatally shot Barthelemy. The investigation is ongoing.
