Boston police arrested Davonte Jordan, 18, and a 14-year-old boy Wednesday afternoon for an armed robbery in Charlestown. The suspects allegedly approached an elderly woman from behind near Adams Street and Mount Vernon Street, pointed a gun at her, and stole her purse containing credit cards. Witnesses provided descriptions of the suspects and one witness found the purse with scattered credit cards behind a building on Chestnut Street. Officers spotted two individuals matching the suspect descriptions near Monument Street, and after a brief pursuit, arrested both at Carney Court. Police recovered the victim's credit card during booking. Jordan faces charges of armed masked robbery of an elderly person, receiving stolen property, and trespassing. The juvenile faces identical charges as a delinquent.
