These Dirt Shoes grant you the mystical power of Mother Nature
Briefly

The Dirt Shoes project involved collaboration with material science experts to create sustainable footwear using biodegradable binding agents. Designers like Rajeev focused on optimizing soil mix ratios, ultimately settling on acacia gum for its balance. Packaging reflects the brand's low-impact philosophy, featuring post-consumer waste and fully biodegradable materials. This collaboration with Yerba Madre highlights Basura's innovative, conceptual approach to branding, aimed at enhancing user interaction and engagement, while continuing to push the limits of impact-driven campaigns.
The trick was finding the right balance... in the end we used acacia gum.
The starch foam the shoes sit inside of... completely dissolves in water.
Basura's unconventional approach to branding... things that people are more likely to interact with, enjoy and share.
We are excited to do more of what we do best... pushing the boundaries of impact-led brand campaigns.
