An hour before the meeting, protesters crowded the library's entryway, wearing rainbow-colored flower garlands, flags, and signs with messages that included 'Books not bigots' and 'Only fascists ban books.' One protestor wore a rainbow-colored Roman soldier outfit during the demonstration.
