Ashwini Gangal is an award-winning journalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work includes journalistic articles, nonfiction essays, fiction stories, and poetry. She has authored four chapbooks: “Hormonal House,” “Yersinia Pestis,” “Lithium and other fairy tales,” and “My Name Is Not Ghost and other things.” Before moving to the US, she lived in Mumbai for over three and a half decades, where she edited an online business publication. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Mumbai University. She speaks English, Hindi, and Marathi. She reads widely and believes stories are the lifeblood of humanity.
