""She wanted me to photograph the unseen, the unconscious, and this is something I am also very dedicated to," says Agata."
""depicting individuals in difficult, often life threatening situations", says Agata, whose guiding principle has always been to "get as close to people and their stories"."
Agata was commissioned by Chloé to visually realise imaginative fixations, photographing the unseen and the unconscious. Agata combined photographs with Jessie's contributions and collaborated with curator Łukasz Rusznica to shape a separate photographic book. Agata's documentary background includes photographing the Syrian War, the Egyptian crisis, and Ukrainian Euromaidan, guided by a commitment to get close to people and their stories. Photographs freeze exhaustion, tenderness, and quiet contemplation against wild, bucolic scenery, including a tender image of creased bedsheets that reveals Agnes's pregnant belly. The work adopts an anthropological gaze, centering Agnes and amplifying the pain of maternal loss while remaining unconventional.
