Lost in Cult's new Editions publishing label is about art and games preservation
Briefly

Lost in Cult has launched Editions, a new game publishing label focusing on preserving indie video games and enhancing their physical releases. This initiative aims to celebrate the artistic contributions of these games, offering unique items like fold-out posters, authenticity cards, and in-depth essays alongside the titles. Collaborating with DoesItPlay?, Editions ensures each game can be run from physical media alone. The first three games, including Immortality and The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, are available for preorder, with a new title set to release monthly beginning in July.
Editions aims to celebrate and preserve indie games, providing physical releases with artistic enhancements, reminiscent of both Limited Run Games and the Criterion Collection.
Every game will include not just the title itself but also a fold-out poster, a sticker, a collector's authenticity card, a thoughtful 40-page essay, and developer insights.
Lost in Cult promises an elegant preservation of games, ensuring they run from physical media without downloads, all while collaborating with DoesItPlay? to validate titles.
The first three titles are currently available for preorder at £59.99 each, and Editions intends to reveal a new game every month starting this July.
