The Movie Shack in Bexleyheath will host a National Pokémon Day event on February 27, featuring themed activities, raids, and giveaways for fans. The café, known for its extensive board game collection, creates a welcoming environment for all ages, providing a free space for after-school activities. Store owner Lorraine started the café out of a passion for geek culture and a desire to create a community hub. This venue not only celebrates gaming but also ensures kids have a safe place to gather without financial burden.
For us, winning over one of those kids that comes in to play after school and sees a friendly face, that’s worth everything.
We started free after-school clubs because there aren’t many places for kids to go that don’t cost a fortune.
