Set to launch on April 23, Sunderfolk combines elements of tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons with a modern digital twist, making it accessible for casual gamers. Players can use their phones as controllers while displaying gameplay on their TVs. The fantasy RPG features customizable anthropomorphic animal heroes in a classic adventure setting. Game Director Erin Marek emphasizes the game's intent to inspire in-person gatherings, reminiscent of traditional game nights. A free demo is available until April 7, with full release on various gaming platforms for $50.
We were, with Sunderfolk, really trying to create something that would inspire people to get together in person, to play a board game or D&D with loved ones.
Sunderfolk operates with modern technology, using phones as decks and TVs as game boards, making tabletop-style fun accessible for casual gamers.
