Michael Singleton, a prominent chef with bases in Oakland and Dallas, was wrongfully tased and detained by police at a Dallas airport based on a miscommunication. Witnesses who filmed the incident reported that Singleton, while claiming his innocence, highlighted that officers acted on a false assumption regarding cocaine. After the incident, he has been released with all charges, including resisting arrest, dropped. He is currently pursuing legal action and has retained a lawyer to address the wrongful accusations and treatment he faced during the arrest.
Singleton: Somebody tape this. I didn't do nothing. My name is Michael Singleton. Police: You have warrants. Singleton: I got a traffic warrant. (To the crowd) My name is Michael Singleton. I want you to please tape this. They arrested me for the wrong reasons.
Lizzy Ashliegh filmed the below clip and told Punk Black the following: this man said he was being framed and to film. I later overheard that a lady was misheard by the officers and they went straight into action when they assumed white powder was involved.
