Pro-Palestinian protesters near Tesla factory in Fremont took down a police fence. California Highway Patrol issued a dispersal order, pepper balls were thrown. Similar protests shutdown Golden Gate Bridge and I-880 in Oakland. 38 protesters arrested with various charges.
Protests are part of a worldwide economic blockade by the group A15 in support of Gaza. In November, Bay Bridge was shut down by protesters calling for a cease-fire in Gaza during APEC Summit. Charges were dismissed for the protesters, who accepted community service and paid $4,500 in restitution.
