Hundreds of protesters arrested at Columbia as anti-Israel group calls for 'support'
Briefly

Two-hundred thirty people were arrested at Columbia when police stormed the campus building they had illegally occupied, police said.
There were a total of about 300 arrests Tuesday night between Columbia and CUNY's campuses, law enforcement added.
On Wednesday morning, the CUNY Gaza Solidarity Encampment group called for protesters to rally outside 1 Police Plaza in support of the 200 who supposedly remained in jail.
Those in custody were "violently arrested and brutalized for standing against genocide," the group claimed on Instagram.
