Angie Stone, a celebrated R&B singer and member of the hip-hop trio The Sequence, tragically died at age 63 due to a car accident early Saturday. The vehicle she was in overturned on Interstate 65 and was subsequently struck by a truck. While others in the van survived, Stone was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family expressed their heartbreak, and music industry colleagues mourned the loss, highlighting her inspiring talent and presence. Stone was scheduled to perform at a significant basketball event on the day of her death.
"Never in a million years did we ever expect to get this horrible news,” said Angie Stone's children. "We are still trying to process and are completely heartbroken."
Walter Millsap III stated, "We are truly devastated by this unexpected and unfortunate tragedy and there are simply no words to express how we feel."
