Two girls aged 15 and 16 and a 15-year-old boy were arrested suspected of planning an Islamist-motivated terror attack. The trio from Dusseldorf region were believed to plan crimes of murder, manslaughter, and violence endangering the state.
Authorities highlighted that the suspects had formed a chat group without setting a definite date or place for the attack, but investigators acknowledged the perceived danger.
Reportedly, the teenagers were considering attacks on worshippers in churches and police stations using knives, Molotov cocktails, and potentially firearms, following ISIL ideology.
