Erline Prescott, Haringey Council's first Black female Mayor and a former ward councillor for West Green, passed away in November. Her funeral service took place at St-Peter-in-Chains Catholic Church, attended by friends and family, and her contributions received recognition during a council meeting with a moment of silence. Prescott strongly advocated for children and young people throughout her political career, serving from 1990 to 1998 and again from 2002 to 2006. She notably selected charity Action For Kids during her 2003 term, raising over £10,000 to support disabled youth.
