Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American woman in Congress, recently made an impassioned plea for an arms embargo on Israel during a House floor speech. She recounted the heartbreaking story of a young Gazan girl and accused Israeli leadership of genocide, pointing to the ongoing military campaign and humanitarian crisis stemming from the blockade of Gaza. Tlaib highlighted the high number of Palestinian casualties, particularly among women and children, and called for an end to U.S. arms supplies to Israel, asserting that it aligns with the will of many Americans.
