In South Florida, 17% of Black population felt they were treated worse in healthcare. They noted issues of not being taken seriously, especially when raising concerns.
Over 53% of Black people find it challenging to find Black healthcare providers, while 85% of White people and nearly 60% of Hispanic people find it easier. Florida has a shortage of Black doctors.
