Starting with their completely new SG casing level, WTB has added a 120tpi casing with puncture protection in the sidewall only. That makes it their lightest and most supple casing used for lighter and race-focused tires.
Their existing SG2 casing has also been updated with a new take on existing protections, split into multiple pieces that all link together, allowing more flex and movement while retaining bead-to-bead puncture protection.
The new Macro XC Race tire, designed for World Cup XC racing, features the 120tpi SG casing, tightly spaced low center knobs for speed, wide breaking edges for traction, and a rounded tread profile for smooth cornering.
The Vulpine S is described as an evolution of the existing Vulpine tire, featuring improved tread design and coming in a slick version, catering to specific needs of riders.
