The 34.9mm size option for dropper posts from WTC features a purpose-built cartridge optimized for the longer 242mm size, unlike other brands that simply insert an existing cartridge into a larger chassis, which adds unnecessary weight.
While the author prefers dropper posts ranging from 150mm to 185mm, the introduction of 34.9mm posts adds weight without enhancing the riding experience, especially with the availability of great options in 30.9mm and 31.6mm diameters.
