"With Revel Bikes and both offering alternative warranty options for wheels made by CSS, Chris King has officially issued a statement on what they are doing to uphold the warranty on their MTN30, GRD23, and ARD44 wheels made with FusionFiber. While other brands have used FusionFiber rims from CSS Composites, Chris King is probably the most prominent brand that has used this innovative carbon process for all of its in-house carbon road, gravel, and mountain bike wheels."
"In summary, if the original owners submit a claim under the King warranty agreement, CK will replace any defective rim with a similar NOBL rim and rebuild the wheel in-house. The replacement rim and wheel rebuild will be free of charge for the customer. Additionally, a second matching wheel can be purchased at a significantly reduced price and delivered along with the warranty wheel if riders would like a matching wheel laced to their hubs."
CSS Composites abruptly closed, leaving numerous FusionFiber wheels without manufacturer support. Reynolds and Revel partnered with Industry Nine to provide alternative warranty solutions for affected riders. Chris King partnered with NOBL to replace defective FusionFiber rims (MTN30, GRD23, ARD44) with TR36, HR25, and HR45 NOBL rims and to rebuild wheels in-house at no charge under the King warranty. Customers can request a Return Authorization by emailing info@chrisking.com with proof of purchase, send the damaged wheel back, and receive a rebuilt wheel with serviced hubs. A matching second wheel can be purchased at a reduced price.
