Watch This Rising Star Win Southwest Regional Gravity Championships
Briefly

Connor Clifford celebrated his first win of the 2025 downhill racing season at the Southwest Regional Gravity Championships, where he achieved the fastest overall time of 3:42.30 across all categories. Overcoming a challenging 2024 season marked by mechanical setbacks, Clifford trained diligently and even utilized a borrowed bike for the race. His victory in the 15-16 Cat 1 category not only marked a personal triumph but also came just in time for his 16th birthday, enhancing the celebration of his achievement.
"I have been putting in a ton of work to get ready for the 2025 downhill season with training and bike prep," Connor told BikeMag.
"After a rough 2024 season with lots of crazy mechanical issues, I wanted to come out of the gate swinging in 2025."
"While I made a few small mistakes in my run, I was able to lay down a fairly clean run and get a 3:42 which would get me fastest time of the day."
"Wearing Bib 33, Clifford won the Downhill Cat. 1 Men 15-16 with a time of 3:42.30, the fastest time of any competitor in any category."
