Compared to the Bushwhacker 2Vi, the Primer has a much simpler design and is less feature-packed than its bigger sibling, which means it has not been bestowed with the same certifications.
While the Primer has not been tested to meet the same certifications, it is likely just as safe. In fact, both the Trailblazer and Bushwhacker have received 5-star ratings from Virginia Tech.
I gravitate towards the Primer for my rides, and this is for several reasons, the main one being the weight and the second being fit.
While the Primer is a solid helmet, there are a few things that miss the mark slightly, but overall, it offers great value and performance.
