We will be getting the bike in for a full test and review early next month, and we are excited to see if there are any other small upgrades that don't stand out on paper but add to the performance.
Their will obviously be a difference in performance between the Carbon Gates belt drive version and the 8-speed version, but we expect the biggest advantage of this newer version to be noticed when climbing hills.
Of course, adding a drive train does add some maintenance to the equation, so if you don't have a lot of hills to climb, or you enjoy more of a fitness ride when climbing hills, then the belt drive version is still a fantastic option.
