At about 12:37 p.m. on Saturday, police, EMS, and firefighters responded to a motocross track in East Wareham, where a 14-year-old boy was found with serious injuries and later pronounced dead at Tobey Hospital.
In a tragic coincidence, en route to the dirt bike crash, a Wareham police officer was also involved in a separate motor vehicle crash and transported to Tobey Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
