Remco Evenepoel, having remained in Switzerland after the World Championships time trial, considered a lengthy training ride reminiscent of Johan Museeuw’s legendary ride in 1996.
Despite initially considering a long ride, Evenepoel chose a 360km round trip training to Saint Moritz, ultimately opting for a six-hour session instead.
With a historic season under his belt, Evenepoel can make history this weekend by potentially becoming the first male rider to win both time trial and road race.
