In response to diminishing threats from the Line Fire and improved air quality, the U.S. Forest Service has issued a permit for Snow Summit to reopen its downhill bike park.
Despite the good news for downhill biking, cross country trails at the resort will remain closed for the entire summer season to ensure safety and allow for ongoing response efforts.
While the bike park is reopening, Snow Valley will remain closed to facilitate the use of its base area as a hub for firefighting operations until the situation is fully resolved.
Travelers should check operating hours and road conditions before heading out, as certain roads like SR-330 are still closed due to damage from the Line Fire.
