Ilse Pluimers from AG Insurance-Soudal made a bold solo attack that captivated the race, only to be caught just before the finish after SD Worx-Protime led the chase.
The tight battle on the finishing straight saw Lotte Kopecky expertly lead out Wiebes, who managed to respond to a powerful launch from Balsamo in the final meters.
Zoe Bäckstedt from Canyon-SRAM, despite losing her teammates during the race, still holds the overall lead, staying seven seconds ahead of Lieke Nooijen.
